Call for Applications for funding of NOMA Gender Incentive Activities 2012-2013/14

Scholarship Description: Norad’s Programme for Master Studies (NOMA) provides financial support for developing and running Master’s degree programmes in developing countries through equal partnerships between local and Norwegian higher education institutions.

This Call for Applications is addressed to NOMA projects which receive support for the years 2012-2013/14 and the proposed activities must commence in 2012. The duration of the proposed activities may vary but cannotgo beyond the project period of the respective applying NOMA project. Projects which previously have received support of gender incentive activities from the NOMA Programme are also eligible for support under this call for applications. There are the three main Gender Incentive Categories for the NOMA Programme:
1. Recruitment of female NOMA students
2. Retention of female NOMA students
3. Working conditions for female NOMA students
Under each main category there are various activities which can be eligible for support under the scheme. Please note that construction of new building/infrastructure or purchase of same or other expensive goods (like cars/buses in order to provide secure transportation for female students) are not eligible for support under this scheme. Rental of same may however be eligible for support. Each NOMA project can apply for more than one category/activity within the same application form.
