Marywood University will not award scholarships to students in the dissertation phase of the doctoral program or allow portions of previously awarded scholarships to defray the cost of dissertation credits due to the direct costs incurred by the University in the provision of mentorship and supervision of the disseration process for each doctoral student. Neither scholarship nor assistantship awards are renewed automatically each year. It is the responsibility of the student to reapply each academic year.
