Women Scholarship Year 2011

2011 L’Oréal-UNESCO Regional Fellowships for Women in Science
Organization: Loreal-Unecso
Subject: Science, Engineering and Technology
Country: Any country in Sub-Saharan Africa
Eligibility: This fellowship is open to all women citizens and permanent residents from Sub-Saharan African countries. Fellowships will be awarded to women scientists in Sub-Saharan African. The age limits for the candidate is 40 years

The 2011 Graça Machel Scholarship for a Spanish Masters Degrees in Tourism

Eligibility :  Are nationals of and resident in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe
-hold a Bachelors Degree or equivalent sufficient to gain entry to a Spanish University
-speak Spanish to intermediate EDEL level or are willing to undertake a 6 month course of study in Spanish as a foreign language, beginning April 2011.

Eligibility : Applicant must be a citizen of a country other than Japan.
-Applicant must hold an academic degree equivalent to the bachelor’s degree.

MMMF Educational Grants for Students of Developing Countries Studying in US and Canada
Organization: Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
Subject: Any
Country: USA
Eligibility: 1.has a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries.
2.resides in the U.S. or Canada at the time she submits the application.
3.be enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2010-2011, intend to be enrolled for the 2011-2012 academic year.
4.uses the grant toward the completion of her degree.
5.is a national of a lower or middle income country, as designated by MMMF Country is not a U.S. or Canadian citizen,
6.permanent U.S. resident or Canadian Landed Immigrant.
7.intends to return to her country(or other developing country) within two years of receiving the MMMF grant.
8.demonstrates financial need.
9.is at least 25 years old by December 31, 2010 (Born before December 31, 1985).
10.is not related to a World Bank Group staff member or their spouse.
